Communication and dissemination
To communicate research objectives, forecast assumptions (including policies) and project results with stakeholders in rural development and policy makers at the national and EU levels by:
1. organising workshops with stakeholders and policy makers and experts in the research area
2. publishing and presenting at seminars and conferences intermediate and final results
3. producing a policy paper and discussing it with policy makers at the EU level
6.1 Organization of workshops
The following workshops will be organised: (a) two workshops with policy stakeholders to create the scenario logic (month 11), (b) one workshop with policy stakeholders to validate quantitative results (month 16) and (c) a workshop to validate results of integrative analysis with regional stakeholders of the case study regions (month 18).
Workshops will be organised in collaboration with the key WP leaders and the facilitation group WING, having as objectives the input from relevant stakeholders. They will last one day and will be held in Brussels, and one of the participating countries
6.2 Dissemination
- Newsletters, producing a website
- Publishing final report in attractive format (probably as JRC publication)
- Presenting results at the Congress of European Association of Agricultural Economists in Ghent (B) in 2008
- Publishing in academic journals
6.3 Policy workshop at the EU level
- Presentation of an extended executive summary of project finding emphasising policy implication (D 5.2) in a half a day workshop exclusively with representatives of the Commission (DG AGRI, DG Regio, DG Envi etc.)
